Skulls of 2023

Someone said recently that I’ve entered my ‘vanitas’ period as an artist – the genre is known for its symbolic depiction of the transience of life and the futility of worldly pursuits, often featuring elements like skulls, hourglasses, and other symbolic objects. So that’s possible. Or maybe I just like drawing skulls and hands. Either way, here’s my latest offering of craniums drawn with Copic Markers.
