La Donna is the first piece in Shattered Vanity, a new body of work where I push beyond traditional photorealism. While still grounded in hyperrealistic technique, this portrait moves toward conceptual territory—less about copying a reference, more about reimagining identity through distortion and form.

Drawn entirely in pen, the work layers crushed and crumpled textures over high fashion-style portraiture, creating a visual metaphor for beauty fractured, yet intensified. Every crease and tear is deliberate, becoming part of the subject’s story. This piece reflects where I’m at right now as an artist—leaning into imperfection, exploring composition over replication, and letting the drawing speak through disruption.

La Donna is both a portrait and a departure. A distortion of vanity. A reflection of resilience.
